Awesomeness
I discovered an incredibly talented singer/songwriter/worship leader from Texas. She has the voice of an angel, and the words of this song.... just incredible.

 Leaves me speechless.

I am so wowed by her, I bought both of her albums on iTunes. And, I have never done that before.

I also went to expedia.com to price out a flight to Texas, so I could see her lead worship live at her home church. It's never going to happen, but...she is THAT awesome.

The Magic Dress
I have been having so much fun sewing! I can't believe how easy it is!! And, if I can do it, anyone can.... :)

Today, I decided to raid the girls drawers for clothes they never wear, and I came up with a t-shirt that Kaitlyn deemed too boring to wear, and a skirt I grabbed from a Walmart clearance rack awhile back, that never fit Eva properly (too wide and too short, story of my life).

I decided to combine the two, and this is what I got!

A cute, twirly dress for Kaitlyn. Actually, she named it "The Magic Dress", because according to her it "even flies!"

Next up, I'll be making a dress for Eva. From a tank top and a woman's skirt from the thrift store. Wheee!

I'm having so much fun!

Upcycling
I have been having so much fun on Pinterest lately. Looking at all the fun ideas people pin. I especially got to thinking after I saw some neat sewing/upcycling projects on there. The sewing tutorials looked pretty simple, and we have a STELLAR thrift store here. And I've been eyeing up nighties at the mall, for Eva to wear in the summer...but they're just so expensive.

So, this afternoon, I ventured out to our thrift store, found some $1 comfy, wornout tees. And, followed the directions here...

And sewed this comfy nightie for Eva!

I got a few more way cuter tees, but thought I'd start with this one, as I don't really know how to sew, and I'm pretty much in shock that it turned out at all...*commencing happy dance*

Oh, and if you haven't discovered Pinterest yet.....click here :)

The wedding
Tonight during dinner, Eva announced that she was going to marry her friend Caleb. Kaitlyn was quick to chime in:

"I'm going to marry Mommy!"

When I asked if maybe she wanted to choose a boy to marry, she said, "Oh yes, I'll marry Daddy then!"

Nich looked at her and kindly told her that he was already married to Mommy and then we showed her our rings, and told her we had a wedding. And, then she got all bug-eyed, and her jaw dropped. "You had a real wedding?! With Mommy in a white dress?! With rings?! Underwater???!!!"

"Nope, not under water. We have it on DVD, do you want to see it?"

Bigger bug eyes, more jaw dropping "YES, I want to see it!"

And then Eva got all excited and asked to see my dress. And, how can I say no to these sweet little girls, with their dreamy eyes.

"My dress is downstairs in storage, should I take it out and put it on? That will be the first time I will have seen it in 7 1/2 years!"

The girls were smitten, overjoyed. I brought the dress upstairs and they followed me to my room. My dress is a Size 2, I was sure I wouldn't be able to squeeze into it. But, I did! Mostly! When Eva tried to secure the final snap, she announced:

"Sorry, Mom, you are too fat!"

Funny girl. I was just happy it was on. The girls helped me with my veil. We took lots of pictures, then watched the video of our wedding.

Kaitlyn's eyes were glued to the screen and she kept saying that I looked like an angel. And, Eva kept going on about how beautiful the dress was.

And, when it was over they asked to watch it again.

So, we did.

And, it was so incredibly fun.

Tucker
My little boy is 11 months old. He eats like a pig, loves annoying his sisters, and says a handful of words.

Lots of important words, like:
BaBa- Bottle
Ba- Ball
NumNum- that's yummy, give me MORE
Dada- His favourite person in the entire world

Photobucket

He even makes the car noise. Like only a little boy does, with a car in his hand, he drives it around and goes brrrrrrrrrbrrrrrbrrrrbrrrr.

Now, my question is, how does he learn to do that? And also, and more importantly, how are those words higher on his priority list than, oh i don't know....maybe the word Mama?!?!

Photobucket

I feed him, diaper him, nap him, play with him. And, all he wants to do is drive his cars around and hang with Dad.

Photobucket

He is quickly leaving babyhood behind, and growing into a rambunctious, fun little boy. I can't believe how fast this baby year has flown by. And, in a few short weeks, I'm going to have a one-year old. Now, that's just crazy.
